Climbing Escalade Canada is excited to launch its Concussion Management and Return to Play Protocol. This document was created by medical experts in the field of concussion and head injuries, and is in line with national organizations dedicated to sport medicine and safety, such as Parachute and the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM).
The goals of this protocol are to protect the athletes and educate the community in respect to the signs and symptoms of concussions. Every participant in our national events will be required to read the protocol and sign a Pre-Season Education sheet, as well as complete the Making Head Way in Sport e-learning module from the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC).
CEC takes the health and safety of its athlete and stakeholders very seriously. This protocol is one piece of our Safe Sport Framework. Should you have any questions or comments, do not hesitate to communicate with us at info@climbingcanada.ca
